Web maintenance is primarily the process of adding, deleting and/or editing the content of a website.
Web maintenance makes several assumptions:
–The website has already been built
–The website is hosted on a remote server
–The maintenance person is computer literate
–The maintenance person has the necessary tools
–Web maintenance is does not replace the need for an experienced web professional to perform more complex tasks such as layout/design, template editing, forms, e-commerce, etc.
